Juicy Isle moves to Cambridge
After well and truly growing out of its previous location at Derwent Park, Juicy Isle has now moved into its 6000 square metre custom built facility. Located at Runway Place, Cambridge the facility consists of a state-of-the-art production, storage and distribution centre and administration area.
Nearly 3500 pallets of stock can be warehoused and 600 pallets can be chill stored.
A cafe, open to the public, has also been included.
The substantial project began last november. Some project statistics include:
- Over 1,600 dump truck loads of dirt were removed from site.
- There was 21.41 km of reinforcing stressing cable used in the main warehouse slab.
- There was 2,801 cubic meters of concrete used in the project. Weighing 8,683 Tonnes. If laid as a 3meter wide driveway it would be 9.34 km long.
- There was 5.3km of roofing purlins used.
- There was 4.45km of roof sheeting used.
- Over 59.7 tonnes of reinforcement mesh and bar was used in the slabs and wall panels.
